Who Are We?

Paul Saunders – Managing Director: Paul has worked in health care for almost 20 years, with the vast majority of this time spent working in the Medical Technology industry. His first role was as a pharmaceutical sales rep, working with AstraZeneca. His transition to wound care came in January 2000, when he moved to ConvaTec as a marketer. This role saw him work on some of the largest brands of the time; including Granuflex and AQUACEL. From marketing, Paul moved to a number of different roles in ConvaTec, including Regional Sales Manager and National Commercial Manager. Paul has worked in recruitment for over four years and set up Health Care People with Tom. Paul holds an MSc in Business Psychology and has a special interest in the design and running of assessment centres.

Tom Hull – Director: Tom graduated from the University of The West of England with a BSc in Built and Natural environments. He worked in the financial industry for 18 months as a stockbroker at a leading company in the FTSE 100. He then moved in to business development and marketing for a company in the construction industry. The focus was on building strong, lasting relationships with clients to increase business awareness and secure long-term contracts. He was then given the opportunity to work within Health Care in a new recruitment company. Tom is a founding Director of Health Care People. His aim is to provide the best candidates the best positions within the Health Care industry.

Our Approach

At Health Care People we are keen to fully understand your requirements, the role and its strategic and tactical importance to your business. As part of this process we will (as appropriate) talk to a range of relevant stakeholders within your company; including, HR, Sales, Marketing and General Management.

We are extremely well networked in Health Care and Medical Devices and will leverage these relationships to deliver the best outcome for you.

Health Care People implement a robust screening process including: face-to-face interview with one of our senior team, and discreet background referencing to establish suitability, track-record and cultural fit.

We have successfully placed staff across a wide variety of roles, geographies and companies. We have worked to place sales representatives, clinical nurse advisors, marketing, senior management and executive level appointments.
